Late For The San Jose SaberCats 7/28/08

While many are
calling it a comeback for the ages, I prefer to call it a total
breakdown on the part of the San Jose SaberCats. This is all in
reference to San Jose’s last game versus the Philadelphia Soul in Week 7
this past season. With a 33-7 lead at half time, the SaberCats dropped
the game by a single point 58-57 before a shell-shocked home crowd.

It
started with an interception; not a very pretty way to start. The game
that the San Jose SaberCats played the rest of the half however was
beyond pretty, in fact it was close to the perfect game that Coach
Darren Arbet has been looking for all season. Saturday afternoon San
Jose took on the Grand Rapids Rampage at HP Pavilion in the Conference
finals, with the winner moving on to the “Big Easy” for ArenaBowl XXII. Story-Photos

SABERCATS WEEKLY: SaberCats
Weekly on FSN Bay Area returns once again in 2008. The 30-minute
action-packed show will air on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. with new
shows airing every Wednesday throughout the season. During the month of
March, SaberCats Weekly will air a total of three times a week, the debut
show followed by two encore showings. Following the debut the show will
re-air on Thursday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m. and on Saturday, March 15 at
3:30 p.m. Host Chris Townsend takes an in-depth look at the defending AFL
champions with interviews, previews and highlights. FSN feature reporter
Jayme Sire will also contribute to the weekly show. SaberCats Weekly is
produced this season by Paul Aldridge, who spent several years working on
the Cal Sports Magazine.
